Join the League of Women Voters on October 15 for an insightful evening with candidates for Illinois Representative District 66 and Kane County Board Chair as well as candidates for Judge of the Circuit Court 16th Judicial Circuit 4th Subcircuit. This event is designed to offer perspectives from individuals aspiring to represent our communities in the November 2024 General Election.

Agenda:

6:30 Each candidate will briefly introduce themselves and expound on their views and policy priorities, focusing on issues vital to their respective roles. While this portion will not include audience questions, attendees will gain valuable insights into each candidate’s vision and policies. 7:50 Meet & Greet – Take this opportunity to meet the candidates, ask them questions, and hear their positions on issues that matter to you. This event is organized by The League of Women Voters of the Elgin Area, reinforcing our dedication to encouraging educated electoral involvement. We invite all community members to attend and better equip themselves with the knowledge required for making informed decisions on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Campaign Policy Elections and voting are core concerns for the League of Women Voters. Year in and year out, Leagues are committed to providing fact-based information about issues and the positions candidates take on those issues to help voters make their own decisions and participate in the process. The League of Women Voters never supports or opposes candidates for office or political parties. Hop on the bus! Illinois volunteers are making the difference in Michigan and Wisconsin — now, we’re headed to Pennsylvania for a two-night canvassing trip October 18-20th for our strongest and most experienced Democratic leaders to support VP Harris in this crucial swing state.

Please fill out this interest form to indicate your interest in joining this exciting multi-day canvassing trip! Please note that completing this form DOES NOT GUARANTEE a spot on the bus. This is a form to collect interest.

On Sunday October 20 @ 9:00am there will be an Adopt a Highway event for the Kane Co Dems. We will meet at the home of Steve Bruesewtiz,1707 Patricia Lane in St Charles.

This should take between 2-3 hours. Our efforts allow us to keep a sign up recognizing our efforts, and more importantly keep Kane Co beautiful.

Coffee and donuts will be served.

This event will feature speeches from key Democratic candidates running in local, state, and federal races. After hearing from the candidates, volunteers will team up for a canvassing effort to engage voters, share information on important issues, and ensure strong turnout at the polls.

Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to canvassing, your energy and enthusiasm will make a difference. Let’s rally together and get out the vote for Democratic victories!
