Hernandez will be joined by the Illinois Alliance for Reentry and Justice, who will be leading a conversation on improving social determinants of health from the perspective that healthy people = healthy communities.

Donations will be accepted beginning Monday, March 28th through Friday, April 29th. Donations needed include:
– men and women’s slippers (new or in very good condition)
– men and women’s pajama sets (new or in very good condition)
– XL towels (new)
– gas cards – should be donated directly to Mutual Ground
– Uber/Lyft gift cards – should be donated directly to Mutual Ground
– glass cleaner
– laundry detergent
– toilet paper
*Note, gift cards and monetary donations will be accepted, but please donate those directly to Mutual Ground.

The Kane County Democrats will be doing our annual Adopt a Highway cleanup on May 20th at 5:00pm. Pizza and light snacks will be provided beforehand.
Please meet at Steve’s house, 1707 Patricia Lane St Charles, and after pizza, we will clean the west side of Kirk Rd between Division and Main St in St Charles. We will have garbage bags and gloves. Dress appropriately for the weather. It is NOT rain or shine, but baring that we will be good to go.
