The St Charles Adopt a highway pick up was postponed due to rain. It has been rescheduled for this Saturday May 6th at 9:00am.
Hi All;

Come Join the Kane Co Democrats in cleaning trash off the roads of Kane County. We will me at my house for coffee, donuts and a brief rundown of assignment. I have safety vests, gloves, pick up tools and bags. The average time for cleaning up our section of Kirk Rd takes about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. enjoy the company and the feeling of pleasure in making our little corner of the world a nicer place to be.

We will gather at 11am Sunday April 30th.
We will gather at 9am Saturday May 6th.

Elgin Pride Parade 2023 @ Downtown Elgin

The Elgin Township Democrats will be marching in the First Elgin Pride Parade. Please mark your calendar and join us in our support of our LGBTQIA+ Community.

Use Prairie Street to get to the parking lot at the corner of Prairie and Grove for lineup. The parade organizers will have staff in the area to assist and direct you. We plan to have Jack the Donkey, so we should be easy to spot.

The Parade kicks off at 11am!

St Charles – Wear Orange Blood Drive @ Ferson Creek Park

Mayor Kaptain will be signing The Wear Orange proclamation in sync with National Gun violence awareness day on Friday, June2nd. Mayors all around this area have committed to signing the Wear Orange Proclamation in support of reducing gun violence.

The local Kane Kendall Chapter of Moms Demand Action has organized a blood drive on Saturday, June 3.

March with Raja in the Chicago Pride Parade

Congressman Krishnamoorthi and supporters will be marchingin this year’s Chicago Pride Parade on Sunday, June 25th. The parade starts atnoon but they are asking folks to arrive between 11 and 11:30 am to lineup. They are in position #29, which will be on the east side of Broadway atMontrose (They have a map available).

They will have Raja t-shirts, candy to hand out, sunscreen,water, pride flags, etc. Anyone interested in marching with Raja should RSVP toDerek (derek@rajaforcongress.com)so he can ensure that they have enough supplies for everyone.

Carpentersville Independence Day Parade

Walk with other Democrats to honor our country’s independence.

Parade will start at Carpentersville Village Hall located at 1200 L.W. Besinger Dr., Carpentersville, IL and head down Maple Ave. ending at Carpenter Park.

What to Wear: Dress for the weather, but please wear your Dundee Dems t-shirt if you have one. If you are not wearing a Candidate’s tee shirt, please wear a red, white or blue plain shirt in honor of the day.

Please bring candidate signs. The parade’s theme is red, white, and blue, so bring your flags and other patriotic gear.

Candy: please bring bags of wrapped hard candy. We’ll have patriotically colored beads and bubble guns.

March with the Elgin Township Democrats

Join the Elgin Township Democrats in this year’s Fourth of July Parade.

The parade kicks off at 9am, but try to arrive around 8am so we can coordinate any tasks placement, handing out of candy, etc.

We do not yet know our placement in the parade, so check with the entry point volunteers to get a general idea of where we will be. We will have Jack the Donkey, so we should be easy to find in the line-up.

We are looking for volunteers to help with building this year’s float. If interested contact Carl Strathmann at 630.890.3460.

The Strathmann’s are planning a party after the parade at their place.

Algonquin Founders Day Parade

Walk with other Democrats from Kane and McHenry

On Saturday, July 22nd at 11:00 a.m., Founders’ Days are hosting their 59th annual parade as part of the Founders’ Days celebration. The goal of the parade is to show off the best of the best and celebrate how the Algonquin and surrounding communities are shaped by those who are a part of it — from its social organizations to its businesses; from its local leaders to its Fire, Police, and other village entities.

What to Wear: Dress for the weather, but please wear your Dundee Dems t-shirt if you have one. If you are not wearing a Candidate’s tee shirt, please wear seasonal attire in honor of the day.

Please bring candidate signs. The parade’s theme is A Circus so wear your best clown outfit.

Candy: please bring bags of wrapped hard candy. No water guns!

Line up for the parade will begin at 9 AM. Walkers usually include statewide candidates and McHenry County and Kane County candidates.
