The Kane County convention is held every two years following the primary election on even-numbered years. This is when all new PCs are officially elected and can thus elect the Chair and Executive Board members of the Kane County Democrats. This is a weighted vote based on the number of Democratic ballots pulled in your precinct for that primary election. We will have the weighted number once the ballot is certified following the June 28 election. The scheduled County Convention is a set date required by Illinois state law, which will take place this year on Wednesday July 27.
If you are a newly elected PC for the 2022-2024 term, please email us at info@kanedems.org to ensure that your email is included in our invite. Please note that this is a private event and that only elected and appointed PCs will be allowed in.
Listening to you is the most important part of my job. That’s why I’ll be hosting a series of town halls in communities across the 14th. Stop by to learn about my work in Congress to strengthen our community, share what is on your mind, and ask me questions.
All attendees will be asked to sign in upon arrival; to quicken this process, RSVP beforehand. CLICK HERE TO RSVP!

We are in the final leg of the 2022 Midterm Election season. This has traditionally been the time when the League of Women Voters hold forums showcasing candidates for questioning by the public. This year was to be no different until a group of local Republican candidates decided to forego the traditional, non-partisan forums. By rejecting participation in the forums they are not only denying the public the opportunity to ask them questions, they are denying the public the opportunity to ask questions of their Democratic opponents too.
Fox Valley Moxie and the Dundee Township Democrats believe that candidates should always be willing and anxious to answer the voters’ questions, so we’re holding “The Voters Deserve Answers Forum”!
The candidates who will be at the forum and ready to answer your questions include:
Suzanne Ness, House Rep. District 66, Linda Robertson, House Rep. District 65, Ted Penensis, County Board District 16, Courtney Boe, Kane County Board District 21, Cherryl Strathmann, Kane County Board, District 20, Vern Tepe, Kane County Board, District 22, Chris Kious, County Board District 23, and Jarett Sanchez, County Board District 24.
We welcome you to submit questions for the candidates to: foxvalleymoxie@gmail.com
We cannot guarantee that all questions submitted will be asked.
