Join Elgin Community College’s Center for Civic Engagement for VOTE 2024 and get empowered to be a voice in shaping the future! We’re excited to welcome all students – whether you’re voting this year or just want to learn more about the process.

When:

October 29 & 30, 2024 (Tuesday & Wednesday)

What’s Happening?

Early Voting for Kane County Residents – Lakeside Patio (Outside B Building):
9 AM – 4 PM

Register to vote, cast your ballot, and get all the info you need.

Know Your Ballot Workshops – Alumni Room B-182 at 9:30 AM & 11 AM:

  • See your ballot before voting
  • Check your voter registration
  • Learn about the voting process, ask questions, and get answers!

Why It Matters:

Young people’s voices are crucial in shaping policies that impact our daily lives, future opportunities, and the world we’re building together. Voting gives you a say in important issues like:

  1. Higher education costs and making college more affordable
  2. Access to quality jobs and career opportunities
  3. Policies that impact homeownership and financial stability
  4. Building long-term wealth for future security
  5. Childcare needs and family support
  6. Climate change and environmental policies to protect our planet
  7. Healthcare access and improving health services

By participating now, you’re helping to create a future that represents you and your values. Even if you’re not eligible to vote yet, learning the process now will make you ready to make your voice heard when the time comes!

Be part of Team Maria’s final push to victory on Election Day! We need dedicated volunteers to help with canvassing, phone banking, electioneering, and more. This is a critical day, and your support can make all the difference.

We will have several launch sites across the 52nd District, giving you the opportunity to choose a location and activity that fits your schedule.
